One in six small firms consider trading purely online
A sixth of small firms are considering giving up their premises and operating purely online as a cost-saving measure to survive the recession, according to online payments firm PayPal.
Research by PayPal also revealed that 40 per cent of small firms that have introduced an online shop in the last ten months said it had helped increase their turnover by up to a third. A further 56 per cent said simply having a website had increased their turnover in the same period.
